Too few people know about Circular Economy and I am here to change that
I let my passion for Circular Economy spill over to my students: be it university students or senior level managers. My approach stands out by its contemporary style, in which I not only use modern working and learning tools to provide a completely digital learning experience when requested, but also pay great attention to interaction and participatory elements, for the promotion of creativity and co-creation between learners. My goal is not just to make people “technically fit” – rather, it is to also address the deeper level of values and thus inspire enthusiasm for the circular economy.
Customized training formats
Circular Economy is a broad and complex topic on which the various stakeholders have different perspectives, depending on their position in the value chain and function in the economy. This results in a specific need for knowledge and education on ths topic, depending on the role, field of activity and associated objectives.
Within my portfolio of activities, I offer the development and carrying out of tailor-made training courses for indivual teams, groups and organizations. For this, I use the approach that also bears fruit at my company Circu:Culture: imparting knowledge in a co-creative, stimulating approach that encourages participans to reflect and discuss in order to bond through meaningful interaction.

University teaching
As a sustainable economic model in times of increasing tension regarding the future distribution of critical resources, the Circular Economy deserves special attention from the next generation of decision-makers: students.
As a lecturer at the HFU Business School, I teach the subject “Introduction to Circular Economy” for Bachelor students from various courses at the Faculty of Economics. In this lecture, I convey to students the vision of a circular economy in which value creation has been rethought using circular business models. Using concrete case studies, the students learn which pioneers are already successfully implementing these and what hurdles and opportunities arise in the process.
Students are encouraged to analyze the current business models of their favorite companies and to develop new, circular business models for them in a structured creative process. In addition to shaping the vision of the future, I focus on developing an understanding of the historical development and current processes of the recycling economy: the development of legislation as well as the disposal and recycling processes of the main waste categories. In this way, I create an understanding among students of where the current situation comes from and where the journey is headed.
